New CEO at ChemoMetec A/S
Claus Resen Steenstrup has of August 1st been appointed new CEO of ChemoMetec A/S. Claus Resen Steenstrup who is 51, comes from a position as CEO of Reson A/S a major global manufacturer and distributor of technical equipment, which he co-founded and exited to a equity fond earlier this year.
ChemoMetec A/S will benefit from his skills and hard working attitude. At the same time Martin Glensbjerg has been appointed COO (Chief Operating Officer).
Claus Resen Steenstrup says that: “I am thrilled to start at ChemoMetec and look forward to develop the company and its business.”

Cell counting on microcarriers - The NucleoCounter can do this! When adherent anchorage dependant cells are cultured on macrostructures, such as microcarrier beads, counting of the cells becomes difficult due to cell-to-surface and cell-to-cell adherence.
ChemoMetec A/S has developed a protocol for the NucleoCounter® system enabling users to obtain absolute volumetric cell count and thereby estimate the total number of cells on non-porous microcarriers. The protocol was developed for epithelial cells grown on non-porous microcarriers, but may be useful for other adherent cell lines cultured on similar non-porous surface type microcarriers.

NucleoCounter SCC-100 in compliance with IDF 148. Data collected 2004 during an extensive testing in USA, shows that NucleoCounter SCC-100 is in compliance with IDF 148 requirements to reproducibility and repeatability. Presentation of the data is shown here. Please contact ChemoMetec A/S directly for further information. This demonstrates that the NucleoCounter SCC-100 is suitable for use in Central Laboratories for Milk Analysis. For instance this allows a central laboratory to produce pilot samples with accurate SCC values for daily check of a routine SCC analyzer.

Beer yeast counting with the NucleoCounter® YC-100
Beer yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) counting made easy with the NucleoCounter® YC-100
Laboratory personnel in the brewing industry usually employ microscopic techniques to determine yeast cell concentrations. Done manually, this approach is often time-consuming and can lead to results that are dependent on the subjective judgment of the operator.
ChemoMetec A/S has released an application to take over the task of manual counting. The YC-100 features a new-patented novel technology. The integrated fluorescense microscope is designed to detect signals from individual yeast cells. The obtained results are presented on the integrated display or via the optional software program the NucleoView

ChemoMetec A/S har per 1. august 2004 overtaget al direkte salg på det danske marked.
Det har længe været et ønske at kunne varetage det daglige salg til nuværende og fremtidige kunder. Yderligere, vil den direkte kontakt til danske kunder, sikre et endnu tættere samarbejde mellem brugere og ChemoMetec A/S.
Som ansvarlig for salget i Danmark er Hr. Ole Zander Jørgensen blevet ansat og vil være den primære kontakt for salg og generel support.
