In collaboration with international pharmaceutical companies ChemoMetec A/S has compared the NucleoCounter to the routinely used manual light microscopy method (haemocytometer).
In a comparison testing using NSO mouse myeloma cell samples from a 10 liter bioreactor the observed correlation coefficient was r=0.96 indicating a good correlation between the two methods.
A repeatability test based on triplicate measurements of samples of a CHO HIR cell line reveal that better precision is obtained with the NucleoCounter than with the manual method. The observed CV of the NucleoCounter method is less than 5%.
