Cell counting

ChemoMetec offers the NucleoCounter family of four automatic cell counters for the counting of different types of cells: mammalian, yeast, somatic, sperm, fish and insect cells. The counting is easy, fast (30 sec.) calibration free, maintenance free and requires no cleaning. The automatic cell counters produce results that are objective and precise – and above all highly repeatable - compared to the standard manual counting methods. A NucleoCounter instrument is an integrated fluorescence microscope designed to detect signals from the fluorescent dye, propidium iodide (PI) bound to DNA.

The NucleoCounter NC-100 counts mammalian cells and determines the viability in cell samples including stem cells, blood cells and cells grown on microcarriers.

The NucleoCounter YC-100 is optimized to count sac cerevisia yeast cells and determine the viability in samples such as beer yeast, wine yeast and baking yeast. The NucleoCounter YC-100 also counts a number of fish cells.

The NucleoCounter SP-100 counts semen samples from bull, boar, stallion, rabbit as well as other mammals. Both ejaculates, extended doses and straws can be counted.

The NucleoCounter SCC-100 counts somatic cells in milk samples.
