Cell viability

The NucleoCounter family of instruments offers an automatic and objective counting of different types of cells: mammalian, yeast, somatic, sperm, fish and insect cells and a viability determination. The instruments count the total amount of cells and the non-viable cells on behalf of which the viability can be determined.

The counting is easy, fast (30 sec.) calibration free, maintenance free and requires no cleaning.

A NucleoCounter instrument is an integrated fluorescence microscope designed to detect signals from the florescent dye, propidium iodide (PI) bound to DNA.
