IQ Script reports failure

The IQ script in version 1.1 may incorrectly report failure on NC-3000 instruments which are indeed OK. An updated version 1.3 of the IQ script file _IQ_NC3000.cmsx solves this problem.

You can download the script file here .

You may install this new version in one of two ways:

  1. Make a repair installation using the full package named 1_0_0_12_20100705-sold-script_update_01 (request download link here ), or
  2. Install version 1.3 of the script file named “_IQ_NC3000.cmsx” directly from NucleoView NC-3000 via menu -> Tools -> Import Licences/Files …

Error using NC-Slides

ChemoMetec has during last week experienced that assays using A8-slides were aborted.

The issue has been thoroughly investigated this week and the conclusion is, that the issue is not related to the quality of the8 slides but to the instruments themselves.

During the production of the two instruments showing the error, a problem has occurred with the settings file, which has caused a minor misalignment of the sample tray.

In all assays using slides the positioning is checked and relies on the visual inspection of the glue of the chambers. If the settings file is not set correctly during production, position check of the slide may fail and the following error box occurs:

We recommend to run the script (Sample Tray Test, download here ) on your demo instruments and return the resulting image to ChemoMetec for examination of alignment.

To send the image, please do following:

  1. Place the cursor on the image and right click on the mouse
  2. Copy image to clipboard (bmp image) and paste into e-mail. You do not need to send the CM-file.

If there is a problem with alignment, it can be corrected with a new settings file.

Our production is now aware of the problem and a new check will be included in the QC procedure for all instruments before leaving ChemoMetec. This check will also be included in the OQ.

The issue therefore has nothing to do with the A8-slides or the stability of the instruments. Please don’t hesitate to contact ChemoMetec, if you have any questions regarding this issue
