The SomaticView software can be used for collection of data from the NucleoCounter SCC-100 instrument and it will show the count of somatic cells for each milk sample analysed and present the Raw Image.

The NucleoCounter SCC-100 can transfer the image data collected by the CCD to a PC using the USB port.
In order for the PC to be able to collect and present image data the following software must be installed on the PC:
- A device driver for the USB port
- An application called "NC Reciever.exe"
- The program SomaticView
Installing the software from the SomaticView installation CD-ROM ensures that all three software parts are installed. Please note that the device driver for the USB port must be installed first. This is described in SomaticView User's Guide.

The SomaticView program presents the image taken and the result determined by the NucleoCounter SCC-100.
The SomaticView program does not perform image analysis or counting of somatic cells in the sample. The program is used for documentation only.
Above you will find a screen dump from the SomaticView program. If you click on the image you will see the screen dump with full image resolution. The screen dump shows the basic elements of the SomaticView program:
- The Image from the "CM file"
- The Result field
- The File list
- The "Tabs" used to navigate the program

- Windows 2000 (recommended installation)
