Via1-Cassette™

One step viability and cell count

The Via1-Cassette™ is a disposable device, which enables the user to measure cell concentrations and viability in one simple step with no handling of fluorochrome containing solutions. The inside of the Via1-Cassette™ is coated with the two fluorescent dyescridine Orange and DAPI.

When the cassette has been loaded with approximately 60 µl of the cell sample Acridine Orange and DAPI are dissolved, staining, respectively, the entire cell population and the non-viable cells. After placement in the NC-3000 the stained cell sample is automatically transferred to the measurement chamber, where the fluorescent images are recorded. After analysis the sample and the dyes are contained inside the cassette, which can be safely discarded.

PI-Cassette™

With propidium iodide

The PI-Cassette is a disposable device used in the NucleoCounter NC-3000 assays. The fluorescent dye propidium iodide (PI) is immobilized in the interior flow channels of the disposable cassette. When the cassette has been loaded with approximately 60 µl of the cell sample the PI is dissolved and mixed with the sample, staining cellular nucleic acid.after placement in the NucleoCounter NC-3000 the stained mixture is automatically transferred to the measurement chamber, where the fluorescent image is recorded. After analysis the sample and the PI is contained inside the cassette, which can be safely discarded.

The fluorescent dye propidium iodide (PI) stains the DNA and RNA of the cell PI is a cell impermeable dye that only stains non-viable cells. Viable cells are only stained if they have been permeabilized by chemical or physical means

Multi-chamber slides

NC-Slide A2 and NC-Slide A8

In order to ensure quick and easy multi-sample analysis ChemoMetec has developed high-quality slides with either two or eight chambers.

If you have few samples to analyse or need several images of the same sample for better statistics then you should choose the two-chamber slide, NC-Slide A2.

If your preference is to analyze numerous samples as quickly as possible at an attractive price you need the eight-chambers slide, NC-Slide A8. Combine this with a multichannel pipette and you can rapidly analyze a complete 96-well plate.

All slides are made from high-quality glass minimizing interference from autofluorescence. This ensures accurate and reproducible quantification of fluorescence and ultimately provides the user with superior results.
