Counting of Somatic Cells in Milk
NucleoCounter® SCC-100™

The NucleoCounter SCC-100 offers unique ease of use and effective determination of the number of somatic cells in a milk sample.
The compact instrument fits perfectly in any research, reference or central laboratory function. Any milk sample can instantly be turned into in-house reference material. The NucleoCounter SCC-100 is very simple to operate with only limited training in laboratory work.
Principle: The NucleoCounter is an integrated fluorescence microscope designed to detect signals from the fluorescent dye, propidium iodide (PI) bound to DNA. Results from the NucleoCounter represent the total cell concentration.
